What makes the memory game sustainable?

There are so many reasons to say our memory game is made sustainably.
 
1) We ensure all our timber has FSC certification. You can see our FSC certification sticker on the bottom of the memory box. 
Timber has been increasingly recognised as a global solution to climate change, by storing carbon and through reducing carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. While trees are renewable, forests are not. So it is important that we source timber responsibly. 
FSC forest management certification confirms that the forest is being managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring it sustains economic viability.
 
2) We don't use any nasties on the game. We use non-toxic ink to print the images onto the timber. And we use UV printing which we believe is the best option for our environment, leaving almost zero carbon footprint. We don't varnish or use waterpropfing agents on the game, meaning no nasties at all... Yay....

Why is the Memory card game for 3+ years.

Accepted Answer

Although the timber cards and box have no small pieces which would cause choking hazards, we do recommend this game for 3+ years. 
Due to the nature of timber, and the nature of printing images onto timber, rough play can cause ware and tear quickly. We recommend gentle play. 
Please do not let children put any of our items in their mouths, this may cause damage to the product. We are for play, not for food ;)
